Arquelogical and Historic Tour
Duration 4.5 hours
During this tour we will visit archeological sites belonging to the Totonac Culture. Our first stop will be at Quiahuixtlan which we can observe remains of a Totonac Cementery an Santuary and is located on a top of a hill and you can have a panoramic view and admire the ocean.
Then we will go to Zempoala, another archeological site where the totonacas where established, here you will be able to see its constructions and "buildings" made with river stone. Here you will be able to see the "Flying Indians" (Voladores de Papantla) They will perform for us.
After Zempoala we will go to our last stop on this tour, "La Antigua" which is the town where Cortes' landed and was the first City of Veracruz that he found named "La Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz" which is the "Rich village of the true cross". Antigua was founded on the year 1522, the oldest Chapel in Latin America is located at this town.
